About Sancta Maria
Sancta Maria International School is an international curriculum, co-educational day school in
Hyderabad. The school is part of the Saint Mary’s Educational Society founded in 1982. Founded in
2010, we are a Cambridge Pathway School affiliated to the Cambridge International board offering
learners from Cambridge Early Years to Grade 12, a seamless progression across Cambridge Early Years,
Cambridge Primary, Cambridge Lower Secondary, Cambridge Upper Secondary and Cambridge

Essential Requisites:
•
Post Graduate degree or equivalent qualificaꢀon.
•

Good understanding of Cambridge AS & A Level syllabus.
Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in Business subject, preferably in Cambridge or IB
school.

Excellent English language skills.
Professional ethics and passion for teaching.
Desirable Criteria:
•
Knowledge of and experience in implemenꢀng acꢀve learning, differenꢀated learning and
metacogniꢀve strategies in teaching.
•

Compleꢀon of Cambridge introductory or extension training in the subject.
Ability to source or create different instrucꢀonal resources and methods to meet varying learner
needs.
•

Ability to understand and implement the Scheme of Work for the subject.
Dynamic, goal oriented and self-moꢀvated.
Responsibilities:

Prepare lesson plans, worksheets and relevant resources for the subject on a fortnightly basis.
Conduct formaꢀve and summaꢀve assessments and provide ꢀmely, construcꢀve feedback to
students.

Regular correcꢀon of notebooks and assignments.
Plan and professionally conduct student progress meeꢀngs with parents.
Acꢀvely parꢀcipate in the planning and professional learning sessions of the respecꢀve
department.

Plan and organise extension acꢀviꢀes to enhance student learning in the discipline.
To bring to the noꢀce of the Divisional Head or Department Lead, any challenging issues at the
class level.

Deliver all non-negoꢀable tasks defined by the Division and the Subject Department.
